David Icke's German world tour talks AXED amid claims of anti-semitic conspiracy speeches
WORLD famous conspiracy theorist David Icke has had two German key dates of his "world tour" axed amid claims of concern over alleged "anti-semitic content" in his speeches.

Two German venues have pulled the plug on hosting events as part of his "World Wide Wake Up Tour", due in April and October respectively.

Former BBC Grandstand presenter Mr Icke has been told by the Maritim hotel in Berlin, where a live event was planned for October, and the Carl Benz Arena in Stuttgart, where he was due to speak in April, that he is no longer welcome, according to dw.com.

Mr Icke, from the Isle of White, peddles conspiracy theories that the world is run by an Illuminati of alien reptile creatures, that the Moon is hollow and was place in the Universe by aliens, and that major terror atrocities such as 9/11 were "inside jobs" at his conferences, which are attended by thousands of people across the globe.

Part of his Illuminati theory is that the world is largely run by Zionists, with US Jewish philanthropist George Soros and the Jewish Rothschilds business family at the heart of the alleged secret society – allegations they vehemently deny.

He said he was carrying out a legitimate "analytical investigation" into why all leaders of the US federal Bank through recent history had been Zionists.

The Maritim hotel confirmed to dw.com that "at the time of agreeing the booking, it had not been aware Mr Icke was involved".

The event was booked to replace the April talk.

The Carl Benz Arena posted previously posted a statement on its website in January explaining its decision.

It said it was due to the "contentious nature and the contradictory statements, which for us as a politically neutral event venue do not give a clear picture."

The arena added that it agreed with free speech, but "of course only as long as this conforms to the democratic principles of our society".

Critics of Mr Icke claim his views on Zionism are anti-Semitic.

Jan Rathje of the Amadeu Antonio Stiftung, which counters racism in Germany, said: "David Icke has a lot of influence on the conspiracy ideological scene, especially through the anti-Semitism he spreads, which appeals to people in Germany because it offers some relief from the guilt of German crimes against humanity in the Holocaust."

But, in a video published on his website in January responding to earlier "anti-racism" protests aimed at his events in the UK and Ireland, Mr Icke denied any anti-semitism.

He said the complaints were just a bid to try to cancel his previous shows in Manchester and Ireland.

In the video, entitled "Try As You Will Tyrannical System You Will Not Shut Me Up", he said: "This group, the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, is throwing mud in all directions in the hope it will stick.

"My philosophy is impossible to equate with racism, because I say race is irrelevant. The body is just a vehicle for expoerience.

"We are all the same consciousness with different colour vehicles end of story. People involved in racism have completely lost the plot.

"What I'm actually saying in the talks is that we become obsessed with race, when what we are is consciousness.

"And that whatever colour, creed, background our 'body' is irrelevant... they're just vehicles for experience."

Mr Icke also branded Zionism a political philosophy, claiming it was "not about race", and said many people firecely opposed it.

He added: "What I'm saying is that there is a cabal at the centre of Zionism, not least connected to the house of Rothschild, that is in effect... a secret society.

"And it's that secret society... that is manipulating within the wider web of manipulation."
